1. Indianapolis Colts Select Andrew Luck Quarterback out of Stanford University (2012 NFL Mock Draft #1 QB)

I know I know every single 2012 NFL Mock Draft that I have read has Andrew Luck as the top rated QB and 1st overall pick in their 2012 NFL Mock Draft’s. In this situation because Jim Irsay has already said he is going to take Andrew Luck with this pick I and every other Mock Drafter has Luck as the first overall selection in the 2012 NFL Draft.

2. St. Louis Rams Select Matt Kalil Offensive Tackle out of USC ( 2012 NFL Mock Draft #1 Offensive Tackle)

The St. Louis Rams are going to end up having quite a few options with this 2nd overall pick in the 2012 NFL Mock Draft. First of all I think they could take Morris Claiborne, Matt Kalil or Justin Blackmon who would all fill big needs for the team. Additionally each of the player is the top rated of their respective position in this 2012 NFL Mock Draft. The other option I see is trading with Miami Dolphins, Seattle Seahawks or Washington Redskins for the rights to pick 2nd overall and take Robert Griffin III. All said and done I believe this is what will happen in this 2012 NFL Draft. However, with this current draft I will not predict trades and therefore I will have the Rams taking the biggest need which is a top tier left tackle in Matt Kalil.

3. Minnesota Vikings: Morris Claiborne Cornerback out of LSU

I know that taking a CB with the third overall pick in this 2012 NFL Mock Draft is kind of a bold prediction. However, with the pass happy offenses in the NFL these days I believe that having a good cornerback is a vital thing to do. Other options with this 3rd overall selection would be Riley Reiff the 2nd best OT in this NFL Mock Draft or Justin Blackmon to be the top tier Wide Receiver in Minnesota. Additionally much like the Prior pick I also think that the Vikings could also look to trade this pick if Robert Griffin III is still available when they are selecting in this 2012 NFL Draft.

4. Cleveland Browns: Robert Griffin III Quarterback and Heisman winner out of Baylor

I don’t know that Robert Griffin III will be available when the Cleveland Browns draft in this 2012 NFL Mock Draft. With that being said he is available with this prediction so I have them selecting him. However, if he is not available I think the Browns need to get a game changer. The available game changers would be Trent Richardson and Justin Blackmon with this 2012 NFL Mock Draft pick. However, as I said previously if RGIII is available I believe that they select him.

With the 5th Pick in the 2012 NFL Mock Draft who should be selected and who should be selecting. With this pick due to the fact that they have a rookie QB and they are getting much older on both side of the ball is the reason I have them selecting so high in this 2012 NFL Mock Draft.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers select Justin Blackmon Wide Receiver from Oklahoma State.

The Bucs get another playmaker on the outside. I would also not be surprised is they went with Trent Richardson with this selection to pair up with Blount to be a 1 2 punch (literally).

13. Stephen Gilmore, CB, S. Carolina

The Tennessee Titans made the first bold pick of the 2011 NFL Draft in taking Jake Locker. They also took some players to fill other needs such as Akeem Ayers and Jurrell Casey in the 2011 NFL Draft. They however did not address the secondary position until really late in the NFL Draft and they need to do so now. Finnegan is a good CB but his contract will be up soon as will some of their other secondary. Stephen Gilmore would be a good CB to select in the 2012  NFL Mock Draft for the Titans as they need good secondary. I could also see the Titans going after a big time Wide Receiver in the 2012 NFL Mock Draft

Jake Locker was the 8th overall pick in the 2011 NFL Draft. He was considered by most to be the 3rd or 4th best QB in the 2011 NFL Draft but he was taken 8th overall as the 2nd QB off the board. Jake Locker is now a Tennessee Titan and he is now the top rated QB on the Titans depth chart. First of all I like the pick a lot more than a lot of Draft analysts such as Mel Kiper Jr. and Todd McShay. I think that potentially Jake Locker was the top rated QB in the 2011 NFL Draft and I think he was the correct choice for the  Titans 8th overall in the NFL Draft. Not only does Jake Locker have an extraordinary work ethic but he is a great athlete as well. A lot of people criticize Jake Locker because he was not an accurate passer in the pocket. However, he is extremely athletic outside the pocket and throws the ball very well on the run. I think if he improves his footwork in the pocket he will be a much more accurate passer as well. Additionally when Vince Young played for the Titans he did very little passing in the pocket and I think Jake Locker can run a similar play book. With a running back like Chris Johnson the play action pass will be a big play for the Titans in the 2011 NFL Season.

With all of this being said I still think that the Titans need to get a veteran QB such as Matt Hasselbeck or Donovan McNabb to show Jake Locker the ropes and start at the beginning of the 2011 NFL Season.

In Free Agency this year the Tennessee Titans have a couple of needs. First and foremost I think they need to get a Veteran QB to take a little pressure off of Jake Locker having to start from day one. The natural fit seems to be Matt Hasselbeck from the Seattle Seahawks. He is a pocket passer who has been very good in the NFL for years and would be a good person to train Locker how to play from the pocket. Also he would only need to sign a 2 year contract so he could start this year and then half way through the year he could be Lockers backup. Other key people the Titans need to target are secondary help, interior offensive line help as well as trying to resign Tullock. But all in all I think that Matt Hasselbeck would give the Tennesssee Titans a chance to win now and develop a rookie QB.
